Is there a time limit?
In order to comply with event permits as per municipal requirements, the roads will reopen to vehicular traffic in a graduated fashion. We require that participants be properly prepared and trained to complete the full marathon (26.2 miles/42 KM) within 7 hours (16 minutes per mile pace or 10 minutes per KM) after the last wave/corral begins.
Please note that after the 7-hour pace, participant support (e.g. aid and water stations, volunteers, course marshals, clocks, medical assistance, cross street protection, etc.) will not be available, and you will be required to adhere to local pedestrian rules (move to curbsides, break down lanes, sidewalks, etc.).
What if I cannot complete the course in 7 hours? The back of the pack vehicle will be a Chiva bus! If you see the Chiva coming up behind you you must either pick up the pace or board the bus – the point at which the Chiva catches up to you, your race is over.
What is the age limit for the Life Time Marathon & Half Marathon?
